A Shaky Outlook Toward Economy, Even Among Millionaires

Earlier this year, our research began to show some shakiness in affluent households’ outlook toward the  economy.  That shakiness continues in our most recent June measurement, as the outlook among the affluent is decidedly more unsteady.

Since February, 2008, the proportion of both Mass Affluent and Millionaire households with a pessimistic outlook toward the economy has risen steadily and significantly. Among the Mass Affluent, 70% are now mostly or extremely pessimistic, up from 58% in February, and 64% in April.
