Millionaires Still Prefer McCain By Wide Margin, but Obama is Gaining
Between April and August, 2008, millionaire households’ preference for John McCain in the November election has waned, while Barack Obama has made significant gains, this according to the most recent nationwide affluent survey conducted by Phoenix Marketing International.

In surveys conducted every other month by Phoenix, which include nearly 500 households with $1 million or more in investable assets (liquid wealth), 57% preferred John McCain in June.  This declined to 51% in August, while those preferring Obama increased significantly from 24% to 32%.  This increase in preference for Obama comes despite his announced intentions to increase taxes for those making more than $250,000 per year.
