Comcast and Phoenix to Present at Quirks Chicago: The Evolving Respondent

Join Comcast, partnered with Phoenix MI, at the Chicago Quirk’s Event, as they explore how the rapidly evolving world is affecting the way research surveys are taken and the impact those changes can have on the information collected. Gain insight to:

  • Best practices in sampling (including combating fraudulent sample)
  • The impact on scale set-up and form in factor results
  • The impact on device type used in surveys, visual graphics vs textual graphics in presentations
  • Explicit vs implicit questioning

The Experts

For this presentation, Comcast Senior Director, Scarlet Wynns, PhD and Director, Peter Manickas will be joined by Phoenix MI President of Technology, John Schiela.

Wynns is a seasoned researcher adept at both quantitative and qualitative methods with experience across various industries and analytical areas. With over 16 years of experience both on the vendor and client sides, she works with teams across the organization aligning research to eliminate redundancies, improve processes and make research more rewarding for stakeholders.

Manickas has over 20 years’ experience in market research and strategic consulting as a research supplier, consultant, and currently as Director, Xfinity Services Research for Comcast. In addition to many years working as a preferred vendor for Comcast, Manickas also worked extensively with all major MSO’s to develop a deep understanding of the industry.

Schiela heads up Phoenix MI’s innovative Converged Technology & Media Practice with vast experience spanning market tracking programs, to new product development, to strategic brand and positioning in both the global and domestic arena. He brings his unique mix of business, research and academic acumen to bear on developing a consultative approach to providing business solutions.
